William “Bill” A. Reszke

William A. Reszke, Bay City, MI, formerly of Pinconning, Bill (aka sweet William per Anita), passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at Covenant Health Center Saginaw. He was born to the late Edward F. & Delphine (Piasecki) Reszke on November 29, 1939, in Bay City, Michigan. Bill met Anita Gorney at a dance at St. Stanislaus. They married on November 3, 1962, celebrating 62 years of marriage before her passing on May 24, 2025. Bill retired from Bay City Chevrolet after 36 years as a solution attendant and held many other jobs in the plant.

Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, casino bus trips, gardening, traveling to Poland six times, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Alaska, seven National Parks, Dollywood, Graceland, Maine, spending time with the love of his life, and the family they created. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus member, past Grand Knight and 3rd degree of the Pinconning Council, assistant Scout Master, Boy Scout Assistant, Scout Master of Troop 1 at St. Stanislaus, Safety Instructor & Counselor Bear Lake, Cub Master Pack 3139 at McGregor School, Neighborhood Commissioner for Cub Scouts, Bill had the largest pack in the Lake Huron Council of 136 boys.

Bill is survived by his children; Steve (Deb) Reszke, Doug Reszke, Brenda (Dan) Schultz, daughter-in-law; Cindy (Kramer), grandchildren; Khai (Cody), Kelsi (fiancée Anthony), Gabrielle, Anthony, Madalene, Nolan, Drew (Adrianna), Nathan (Laura), great-grandson; Elijah, siblings; Camille Craven, Ken (Ardith) Reszke, & brother-in-law Rob (Pat) Gorney.

He was preceded in death by his son Mike, three brothers; Richard (infant brother), Robert (infant twin brother), Roger, two sisters; Mary Jane, & Loraine.

Funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena-St. Vincent de Paul Church, with Fr. Dale Orlik presiding, with burial at St. Michael Cemetery in Pinconning, Michigan. Visitation was held on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel, with a Vigil prayer service at 7:00 pm. On Friday Bill will lie in state at church from 10:00 am until time of Mass.
