Arcadio (Ike) M. Romero

Ike, age 82 passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Auburn Fields Assisted Living with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 27, 1938, in Lamasa, Texas to the late Juaquin & Mary (Gonzalez) Romero. He married the former Sally Gillette, they happily shared over 40 years together, she predeceased him on May 26, 2011. Ike proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from General Motors after 38 years of service. Ike enjoyed collecting things, picking and salvaging junk, most of all he enjoyed his family and his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his big smile and his ability to make others laugh. He is survived by his two daughters Sheri Lynn (Mark) Budnik and Regina (Jim) Lopez, two grandchildren who will miss him dearly, Jordon and Shaye Beaudin, a sister Juanita Reeves, nieces, nephews and his special companion Pepper. He was predeceased by his wife Sally, his son Jamie Romero and his brother Jesse Gonzalez Sr.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 11 am from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Kathy Bersano presiding with burial in Mt. Forest Township Cemetery, with military funeral honors. On Wednesday, friends may call from 10 am until time of service.
