Geraldine (Gerry) Emma Jezowski
Geraldine was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Gerry passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the age of 94, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born to Fredrick and Theresa (Bonnard) Bellor on December 10, 1928, in Linwood, Michigan where she lived her entire life. She graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1946. Gerry met Anthony (Tony) Jezowski at a wedding in Crump, MI. On September 4, 1948, she married Tony, the love of her life at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Linwood, Michigan. They were married for 64 years until his death on September 14, 2012. During her teenage years, Gerry worked at Parson’s Dairy, dipping ice cream and making milk shakes. After marriage, Tony started Tony’s Trenching Service in the early 1950’s where Gerry was the bookkeeper. In 1963, together Tony and Gerry designed, built, owned, and operated Maple Leaf Golf Course for 60 years. She loved spending time outside working in her yard and on the golf course in the flowers, raking leaves, keeping the cart paths clean, and riding her golf cart around the course creating a “To Do List” for her children. Her favorite pastime was feeding and watching the birds. Most of all, Gerry loved spending time with her family!
Gerry is survived by her 4 children, Randall (Dee) Jezowski, Katherine Shark (Greg), Debra Beson and Daniel (Dawn) Jezowski; 9 grandchildren, Renee (John) Babiarz, Scott (Katie) Jezowski, Julia Jezowski (Daniel), Bryan (Sarah) Shark, Eric (Tracey) Shark, Kevin (Melissa) Shark, Rachel Jezowski (Justin), Tyler (Lisa) Jezowski, and Elizabeth Beson; 12 great-grandchildren and one more arriving soon. Also, Gerry is survived by 4 step-grandchildren, Amy (Bill) Bielas, Connie (Mike) Steger, Timmy (Lisa) Beson and Patty (Justin) Lickfelt; 13 step great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Slater and Anita Jezowski and many nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by her son-in-law Tim Beson and 4 brothers, Arnold, Kenneth, Virgil and Phillip.
The funeral mass service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Prince of Peace – St. Anne Campus, Linwood, Michigan with Rev. Fr. Nick Coffaro presiding. The family will greet friends and family on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Rivertown Funeral Chapel, Kawkawlin, Michigan and on April 13, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the Prince of Peace – St. Anne Campus, Linwood, Michigan.
