Giles C Brent

Giles C. Brent, age 84, of Bentley, MI, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was born September 5, 1935, in Monmouth, Illinois, to the late Farrand and Martha (Talbott) Brent. Giles married the former Sharon M. Kopka April 16, 1966, in Cedar Lake, Indiana at Holy Name Parish. He worked for steel mills in Indiana for 20 years and then retiring from Grey Iron in Saginaw as a millwright after 22 years of service. Giles enjoyed bowling and was a Boy Scout Leader.

Giles is survived by his wife, Sharon and their three children: James (Mary) Brent, Joseph (Jennifer) Brent and David Brent. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Shawn Brent, Kendra Brent, Erica Brent and Jonathan Brent. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by one sister, Luella (Wilbur) Brewer.

According to Giles’ wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 12 Noon at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan with Rev. Fr. David Parsch officiating. The family will greet family and friends Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 10 am till time of service at 12 Noon at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL.
